20" O.A.K Rec I Ride (1884gr)

Ok, I can’t write a spooky story for every ride, my creative juices are dry. Maybe you’ll see the spookster when I post this one on Insta, maybe not.

BUT IMPORTANT! This ride has a small line which is the result of a blank “defect” mos likely having occurred during the pouring process. This “defects” are unpredictable as they only become evident once you start lathing. They are as if very small bubbles of gas were trapped inside the molten metal as it rapidly solidified. Now, the reason for the quotation around the word “defect” is because, even though they are in the most literal sense of the word, a defect, they pose no danger to the cymbal. I actually call the “scabs”, cause that’s how they look. I have had in my hand 40+ year old cymbals that have markings similar to this one and the instrument is still in perfect condition. I have made instruments in the past that present little scabs and so far, no complains. Take good care of this instrument and it has no reason to present any form of failure.

O.a.k (One-of-a-kind):

This line of instruments acts as my space for study and unbounded creativity. It is the continuation of my original non-serialized work, meaning, a cymbal line where anything goes. 


It will most likely also act as the breeding grounds for any forthcoming new lines and designs as time moves forward, so keep your eyes open, one of these could one day become a regular act.
