I Love Leo Sampson. Work ethic, superb craftmanship, passion and community building brought to us at the cost of nothing but a simple click on a computer.
What the heck do I know about boats..nothing not a single bit. What the heck did I care about boats prior..probably less than what I knew. It is not about a boat, it never was. Its about the man behind a dream, a goal and the love poured into it. I was lucky that one of his very very early videos appeared in front of me out of mere mathematical chance. And I spent years watching him and the group of beautiful friends and generous selfless helpers he gravitationally attracted towards his cause. I watched it like a window into a world alien to me, and yet somehow incredibly close. Summed into it, the fact that I’ve always had an unexplainable attraction for the pacific north west. When Tally-Ho touched water again, I teared up a littlem and I still don’t give a rat’s ass about boats. Thank you Leo Sampson for making your dream a vehicle for showing us, showing me, that in today’s world there’s still small communities of people with values that in their quiet and grounded stillness rebel against a gross people eating, purchasable value making machine. I Love Leo Sampson (and everybody that was a part of that project).
O.a.k (One-of-a-kind):
This line of instruments acts as my space for study and unbounded creativity. It is the continuation of my original non-serialized work, meaning, a cymbal line where anything goes.
It will most likely also act as the breeding grounds for any forthcoming new lines and designs as time moves forward, so keep your eyes open, one of these could one day become a regular act.
